Description of Makita HM1100C 13-Pound Demolition Hammer (SDS-Max)

An industrial 11 amp motor delivering up to 2,650 BPM makes the HM1100C perfect for your smaller demolition jobs. Ideal for such applications as breaking and chiseling concrete, cutting asphalt, digging out hard packed gravel or frozen ground, and breaking stone. An electronic variable speed control dial can adjust the hammer speed (1,300-2,650 BPM) to match the material that is being broken. A specially designed dust proof chuck cap keeps intruding dust and debris from penetrating the interior of the hammer, and a unique varnish coating on the armature ensures that the motor is safe from foreign materials that may penetrate the exterior of the hammer.

Tools and Hardware Reviews of Makita HM1100C 13-Pound Demolition Hammer (SDS-Max)

Customer Review: This is my 3rd one and it "EATS" almost anything!
Summary: 5 Stars

Without sounding like a Makita sales-rep, I enthusiastically recommend the HM1100C to any professional seeking a light to medium duty demo hammer for daily use.

PROS:
1.) POWERFUL!
2.) Lighter than similarly designed tools.
3.) Less vibration than similar tools.
4.) Separate speed control "thumbnail" NOT like competitor's "variable trigger" switch.
5.) Padded support handle is adjustable to suit any user.

Cons:
2.) NONE.

Although I use my large pneumatic jack hammers for breaking up the bigger and thicker slabs, this "little bad-boy" is always my first choice for everything else! This thing is a real workhorse and I have yet to find a material that this tool couldn't devour! Whether you're chipping up old tile and thinset or breaking up concrete to replace cast flanges, it literally 'eats' anything you can feed it!

This is the third one I'm buying. Two demanding years have proven these as continually dependable and demonstrate a worthy addition as my business grows.
